Ken Follett’s Book-Turned-TV Series Receives Nominations

Author of several bestsellers, Ken Follett has one more reason to be proud of his books. And, this time, for the success of The Pillars of the Earth as a TV mini-series!

The television mini-series of the novel has been nominated for three Golden Globe awards by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and also for a Writers Guild of America award.

Tandem’s production of The Pillars of the Earth received a nomination in the Best Mini-Series category, Ian McShane received a nomination in the Best Actor category for his performance as Bishop Waleran, and Hayley Atwell received a nomination in the Best Actress category for her performance as Aliena. In addition, the Writers Guild of America has nominated the scriptwriter, John Pielmeier, for an award in the Best Writer: Long Form-Adaptation category.
