Hounding Detail, Indeed!

Training students give me pleasure. That’s not all. It also gives me several rotfl moments. A recent one was found in an eighth-standard girl’s Biology paper: “Mules are cultivated on farms. They are cultivated as feed for cattle.” What the…? Well, so she says!

But today’s clincher is from a Class 10 boy’s pre-final English supplementary paper: “James Mortimer is the name of Sir Henry’s uncle.” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle must be turning in his grave thinking of how juveniles are twisting his The Hound Of The Baskervilles.
