Children’s Book Festival in Rochester, on Nov. 6

The 14th annual Rochester Children’s Book Festival will be held tomorrow at the Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Rd. The 2010 Caldecott award-winning author Jane Yolen and illustrator Mark Teague will be special delegates at the venue. Jane Yolen is the author of How do Dinosaurs Say Good Night, and Mark Teague the illustrator.

It is open from10 a.m. to 4 p.m. over 40 authors and illustrators will be participating in it. Admission is free for all. Many new books of the year will be read and discussed. In the activity room, children and visitors can meet book characters, learn about various historical events and do fun activities. Kids can learn the art of character creation,weaving words, photography in children’s books, and story building. There will be interviews and signings as well.

The Festival is presented by Lift Bridge Book Shop, in affiliation with Monroe Community College, 292-Baby, and Rundel Library Foundation. It is a great event for children, young adults, teachers, librarians, parents and others.
